A powerful 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal on the 25th April 2015, leaving at least 8000 people confirmed dead. Another earthquake measuring 7.3 hit Nepal on the 12 May 2015. Nepal was already reeling from the first earthquake. The Forget Me Not projects in Nepal are based in Kathmandu, one of the worst affected areas.

In the year since the earthquake, your donations have been working hard to ensure that children and families are safe. Forget Me Not rescued children from illegal orphanages and reunified them with their families, rebuilt homes, provided trauma counselling, and ran anti-trafficking education programs to keep children safe.

But your help is still urgently needed.

Many children are victims of illegal or “pop-up” orphanages with traffickers preying on vulnerable families. Forget Me Not will continue to work with the government to close down these orphanages and remove the children, find their families and take them home.

Through your generosity, Forget Me Not has worked in Nepal for eleven years.

We will not be leaving. We will stand with Nepal and help rebuild their lives.

Please stand with us as we stand with Nepal.
